doing some simple remedies which are easily available in your kitchen.
Your skin naturally produces a pigment called melanin that gives its color. External factors, like sun exposure,can enhance melanin production,causing your skin to develop a tan. It is very difficult to change the amount of melanin naturally present in your skin. However, you can always get rid of the skin tan and pigmentation caused by over exposure to the sun,stress and neglect by using home remedies.
SOME OF THE HOME
REMEDIES ARE :
1. Lemon
2. Milk
3. Turmeric
4. Tomato
5. Yogurt
6. Rose Water
7. Tender Coconut Water
8. Papaya
9. Gram Flour
10. Fuller’s Earth or Multani Mitti
1. LEMON
: Lemons are rich in Vitamin C &
Citric acid, so they can help brighten & lighten your skin. It can help
lighten age spots, dark spots or tan. It also reduces excess oil.
Method 1.
i. Take 1-2 teaspoon lemon and dilute
it with water as lemon can be harsh on skin and can make skin dry.
ii. Leave it on for 10 minutes.
iii. Wash it with cool water, pat it
dry and then apply coconut oil.
Method 2.
i. Make a smooth paste by mixing 1
teaspoon lemon & 1 teaspoon honey.
ii. Apply it for 10-15 minutes &
wash it with cold water.
NOTE: *Repeat this after 2 days and
don’t apply it regularly.
*Remember not to expose yourself to the sun while trying
this remedy.If going out in sun,wear a S.P.F, since the citrus fruit can make
your skin more sensitive to UV rays
2. MILK:
Lactic acid in milk helps reduce pigmentation,heal dry skin,hyderate skin,heal
acne and relieve sunburn.
Method1.
i. Take 1 tablespoon milk and 1
teaspoon honey,make a smooth paste by mixing both
ii. Apply it all over the face and rub
gently in circular motions and after 10minutes wash it.
Method 2.
i. Take 1-2 tablespoon milk in a bowl
and apply it all over your face and neck with the help of a cotton pad.
ii. Wash it after 20 minutes.
3. TURMERIC :
It contains anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory components that provides glow
& luster to the skin. It helps in bringing out skin’s natural glow.
Method 1.
i. Prepare a mask by mixing 1 teaspoon
turmeric and 1 teaspoon lemon juice.
ii. Apply this paste to the face and
leave it for 15 minutes.
iii. Rinse with water.
Method 2.
i. Mix 1teaspoon turmeric and 1
teaspoon chandan and make a paste.
ii. Apply the paste to your face and
wash it after it dries completely.
NOTE: *Apply 2-3 times a week.
*Don’t apply soap to your face after
the use of turmeric, as it can darken your skin.
4.TOMATO
: Tomato contains lycopene that helps to reduce pigmentation instantly making
it the perfect choice as a home remedy for skin.
Method 1.
i. Make a paste by taking 1-2
tablespoon mashed tomatoes and add 2teaspoon lemon juice.
ii. Apply this paste all over your
face and keep it for 20 minutes.
iii. Wash with cool water.
Method 2.
i.Make a paste by mixing 1-2
tablespoon mashed tomato and 2 teaspoon honey.
ii. Apply this paste for 15-20 minutes
and then wash it.
5. YOGURT:
You can naturally reduce fine lines and wrinkles. The lactic acid in yogurt
will help dissolve dead skin and tighten pores.
Method 1.
i. Add a tablespoon of olive oil to
3-4 tablespoon of yogurt.
ii. Apply this mixture to your face
for about 30 mintues and wash it
Method 2.
i. Mix 3-4 tablespoon yogurt to 1
teaspoon turmeric.
ii. Apply this paste to your face for
about 15 minutes and then wash it.
6. ROSE WATER : Rose water helps
maintain the skin’s PH balance and also controls excess oil. It also has
anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce the redness of irritated skin
and get rid of acne.
Method 1 : Cleanse your face everyday
with rose water with the help of a cotton pad. Follow this twice a day.
Method 2. You can add rose water to
any home made face packs and scrubs.
7. TENDER COCONUT WATER: Coconut water is a wonderful treasure of
mother nature which has many benefits. Coconut water has a great taste and
great for whitening your skin too.
Method 1.
i. Make a skin whitening face mask
with coconut water and cucumber juice and milk. Apply this for 15 minutes to
your face.
ii. Wash off with cold water.
Method 2.
i. Dip
a cotton pad to 2-3 tablespoon coconut water and apply it to your face.
ii. Rinse it with water after 20-25
minutes.
8. PAPAYA
: Papaya contains Vitamin A and Papain enzyme which nourishes the skin. It also
helps remove dead skin cells and inactive proteins.
Method 1.
i. Take 1 teaspoon honey and 1
tablespoon papaya and make a thick paste.
ii. Apply the paste to your face for
10-15 minutes and then wash it with cool water.
Method 2.
i. Make a paste by mixing 1 tablespoon
of ripe papaya with 1 teaspoon lemon juice.
ii. Apply it to your face and keep it
for 15 minutes and then wash it off.
9. GRAM FLOUR (BESAN): Gram flour is known from years for its
wonderful benefits and nutrients. It helps dry skin to keep hydrated and
moisturized. It also helps absorb the excess oil from the face and makes skin
fairer and flawless.
Method 1:
i. Add 2 tablespoon gram flour and add
enogh rose water to form a thick paste.
ii. Apply the paste on your face and
scrub it in an upward motion.
iii. Leave it on till it tries and
wash skin with water.
Method 2.
i. Mix 2 tablespoon gram flour, 1
teaspoon of lemon, a pinch of turmeric and rose water and make a smooth paste.
ii. Apply it all over your face and
leave on till it dries.
iii. Wash your skin wih cold water.
10.FULLER’S EARTH OR MULTANI MITTI: Multani mitti is well known for its oil
absorbing property. It is rich with minerals like lime,alumina and iron oxides
which helps give a fair complexion and healthy glowing skin naturally.
Method 1.
i. Mix 2 teaspoon fuller’s earth and 1
teaspoon chandan (Sandalwood), make a smooth paste.
ii. Apply it all over your face till
it completely dries.
iii. Wash it with cold water.
Method 2.
i. Take 1 teaspoon fuller’s earth and
1 tablespoon gram flour and mix it into a thick paste.
ii. Apply it to your face and leave it
on for 15-20 minutes then wash it with cold water.
